Richard Boxer
Director Emeritus
Richard Boxer (Director Emeritus) has been associated with Manitou since 1999 as a client and director. He obtained a BA from Queen’s University, an MBA from York University and is a CPA, CA. Richard has extensive business experience, as both an owner-operator and an investor. He began his career working in manufacturing for 15 years. Following that, and over the past 30 years, he has served as president of Buckingham Capital Corporation, a company that invests in early-stage Canadian businesses. Richard has served on the Boards of various public and not-for-profit companies including Alarm Force Industries, CDI Corporation, the Canadian Paraplegic Association, Falls Management Company, International Pursuit, the Mount Pleasant Group, the Niagara Growth Fund, Norwall Industries, Nerium International, Schneider Power, the Toronto Public Library and Toronto Rehab Hospital. After approximately a quarter century of service to Manitou, Richard resigned in the spring of 2024. In recognition of his tremendous contribution to the firm, Richard was appointed Director Emeritus and remains a lifetime ex-officio member of our board.
